If you’re just starting out or if you’ve had some experience in the apartment world, there’s a lot to think about. But one important thing to think about is the kitchen – where the REAL magic happens. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a list of kitchen essentials for your new place so you have one less thing to worry about? Here are 8 suggestions to get you started:
Pots & Pans: Obviously this is a no-brainer. Pots can be used for soups or sauces and pans can be used to fry eggs or veggies. You’ll need these to cook pretty much anything.
Spatulas
Wooden Spoons: Wooden spoons will last you forever. And they’ll look pretty cute as décor in a nice vase or case.
Knives: These bad boys are the one thing that you can’t get by without. Buy good quality knives now or buy cheap ones over and over again.
Cutting Boards
Mixing Bowls: Whether you go small, medium or large – plastic, glass or metal, mixing bowls are much needed when it comes to making breads, cookies or other mixing recipes.
Containers: If you like to plan ahead and make lunches or dinners for the following day, you’ll need to store your meals in containers. You can go with glass or plastic.
Toaster: Because toast isn’t toast unless you ‘toastify’ it!
If you’re new to this, is there anything else you could think of that’s a kitchen necessity? If you’re an apartment veteran, are you looking all over your kitchen to see if you have everything? What necessities are we missing? Drop a comment below and let us know!
