Take advantage of the unseasonably warm temperatures this Fall and get outside to experience Yonge and Eglinton’s beautiful, picturesque parks!
Charlotte Maher Park
550 Roehampton Avenue
Mere minutes away from Mt. Pleasant and Eglinton Avenue, this small park features a children’s playground surrounded by a tree canopy. Cute and quaint, this park is perfect for toddlers and visitors looking for a small quiet retreat from the bustling Yonge and Eglinton neighborhood.
Sherwood Park
190 Sherwood Avenue
Quoted in BlogTO as “one of Toronto’s underrated valley’s”, Sherwood Park boasts numerous walking trails for pedestrians looking to give their legs and feet a workout. The park offers a large playground for kids of all ages to enjoy and an off-leash fenced in dog area where your four-legged pet can run and roam to their furry paws content! Photographer and Toronto native Barnabas Bozoki captured a beautiful photo of Sherwood Park in the Autumn of 2016 that showcased the gorgeous golden fall foliage enveloping the Sherwood walking trail.

Situated just west of Yonge Street, this massive 9 hectare park features five sports fields, a large playground, several baseball and softball diamonds and four tennis courts. With lots of open space to walk around and only a few blocks away from the Eglinton subway station, Eglinton Park is a great area to explore.
June Rowlands Park
220 Davisville Avenue
Home to the Davisville Village farmers markets during the Summer months, this 2.6 hectare park is tucked right on the corner of Davisville Avenue and Mount Pleasant Road. Offering tennis and volleyball courts for those looking to swing their racket or hit a ball, the park also pays tribute to Canadian acting and singing trio Sharon, Lois and Bram with their own playground.
